Carr Allison Welcomes Associates Turpen and Zalanka

Carr Allison is pleased to welcome Andrew Turpen and Robert Rylee Zalanka as the firm’s newest Associates in the Birmingham, AL office.

Andrew Turpen will focus his practice on transportation, insurance and personal injury matters.  With a double major in history and political science, Andrew earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa.  He then earned his JD from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law.  Andrew is admitted to practice in all state courts in Alabama and before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama.

Rylee Zalanka will focus his litigation practice on insurance and coverage issues, as well as matters involving professional liability.  Admitted to practice in Alabama, Rylee earned his JD, magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law, twice winning American Jurisprudence Awards.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, with a double major in English and economics from Jacksonville State University, where he was a scholarship athlete on the football team.  Prior to joining Carr Allison, Rylee served as a law clerk for the United States Magistrate Judge David A. Sanders for the Northern District of Mississippi (Aberdeen Division).
