WE ARE HIRING!

Carr Allison ranks among the fastest-growing litigation firms in the Southeast. We currently have offices in Auburn, Birmingham, Florence, Mobile and Dothan (AL), as well as in Jacksonville, Orlando, Pensacola and Tallahassee (FL), Atlanta and Brunswick (GA), Gulfport (MS) and Chattanooga (TN).

Our mission is to provide superior service to our clients on a cost-effective and timely basis. The firm primarily handles litigation for employers, retailers and the transportation industry.

Carr Allison utilizes its summer clerking program as the primary source of new Associates for our twelve offices. The firm also has occasional openings for experienced trial attorneys.

ATTORNEYS

The firm currently has openings for experienced litigation attorneys in Birmingham, Jacksonville and Tallahassee (FL).

Carr Allison continues to enjoy steady growth in all of its offices. Though most of our new attorneys are hired through the summer clerking program, we occasionally seek associates and partners with specific litigation experience.

From the outset of their practice at the firm, new lawyers are given genuine responsibilities and tasks including contact with clients, attendance at hearings, taking depositions and participating in trials.

Our associate pay is competitive within the local market and the firm provides for family health insurance, a $100,000 life insurance policy, long-term disability insurance, malpractice insurance and a 401k/profit sharing plan (eligibility requires one year of service), as well as all professional dues and continuing legal education fees.

The firm maintains updated technology and each associate is assigned a secretary and paralegal.

For more information, please contact Legal Recruiter Smith W. Busby at sbusby@carrallison.com.

SUMMER ASSOCIATES

Carr Allison maintains a summer clerkship program for rising second- and third-year law students in its Birmingham office. The firm hosts one six-week session that takes place during the first part of the summer.

Carr Allison is committed to exposing our clerks to all aspects of the law enabling them to gain as broad a range of experience as possible.

We encourage clerks to attend client meetings, depositions, hearings and trials with lawyers. We also understand that law students have projects outside the office and we strive to schedule clerks’ firm-related assignments to avoid conflicts with their other responsibilities.

For more information, please contact Sara Beth DeLisle at sbdelisle@carrallison.com.

PARALEGALS

Carr Allison’s paralegals perform billable work in support of one or more lawyers and keep records describing work performed for each client and time expended for each matter during the work day.

Each paralegal is also responsible to the entire firm and may be occasionally required to support other firm members. Our paralegals share, with Carr Allison’s attorneys, an obligation to serve our clients to the best of their ability.

Carr Allison offers competitive compensation and benefits and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Good opportunities regularly arise for paralegals to join Carr Allison and contribute to our growing practice.

For more information, please contact Director of Human Resources Donna Sullivan at dsullivan@carrallison.com.

LEGAL SECRETARIES

Each secretary is assigned responsibility for the production of the work of specific attorneys. However, our secretaries are also responsible to the firm and may be occasionally required to support other firm members. Our secretaries share, with Carr Allison’s attorneys, an obligation to serve our clients to the best of their ability.

Carr Allison’s secretaries have consistently high stenographic, typing, spelling and sentence-structure skills. The firm values consistently positive, cooperative attitudes, attention to detail, and the ability to inspire client confidence; all of which are important considerations for advancement.

Carr Allison offers competitive compensation and benefits and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Good opportunities regularly arise for legal professionals to join Carr Allison and contribute to our growing practice.
