Allan Jones Named PLAN Chair

Allan S. Jones, a shareholder at Carr Allison (Birmingham, AL), has been named Chair of the 2018-19 Board of Directors for the Professional Liability Attorney Network (PLAN).  The announcement was made at PLAN’s annual regional event in New York City.  Allan served as vice-chair for 2017-18 and has held several leadership roles within PLAN, most recently serving as chair of the membership committee.  PLAN is a national network of independent, AV-rated law firms, with attorneys from 19 firms across 23 states whose practices focus on nuanced areas of professional liability law, including errors and omissions, directors and officers, coverage/bad faith, cyber, financial institutions, ERISA/fiduciary and EPL/labor and employment.

“I am very humbled to lead this prestigious national network of professional liability and coverage law firms,” says Allan.  “My predecessors have left me with very large shoes to fill.  Our Board’s goal is to continue PLAN’s unprecedented success in providing exemplary service to our clients by focusing on their specific needs within the professional liability industry and community.”

Allan is a trial attorney specializing in professional liability and coverage litigation.  He is designated as regional and statewide counsel for several professional liability insurers  and serves as the co-chair for Carr Allison’s Professional Liability and Coverage practice groups.
