Carr Allison Sponsors SETLAW Event

Carr Allison sponsored the recent Southeast Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women’s (SETLAW) Ladies of Justice “Lunch and Learn” event in Chattanooga, TN.  Judges from the Chattanooga area, including Judge Lila Statom, Chancellor Pamela Fleenor, Judge L. Marie Williams, Magistrate Kathy Clark and Judge  Shelley D. Rucker, served as panelists.  The judges spoke about their journeys to the bench, including professional and personal challenges they have faced during their careers.  The panelists also offered guidance on how women can achieve successful legal careers and provided tips on best practices as litigators.

Carr Allison attorneys Erin Gomez and Ashley Gibson currently serve on SETLAW’s leadership board.  SETLAW is a nonprofit, professional organization that is committed to furthering the role of women in the law and in the local community.  Its members include female judges, in-house counsel, private practice attorneys ranging from solo-practitioners to members of large firms, public service and governmental attorneys, as well as female attorneys who are not currently practicing law.
