Miller Presents on Employment Law

Jeffrey Miller, Counsel in Carr Allison’s Birmingham office, will speak in Montgomery on behalf of Sterling Education Services on January 12, 2017.  His presentation is part of the program “Interplay of Employee Benefits: ADA, FMLA, and Worker’s Compensation” and will cover a broad review of the latest case law and legislative developments in State and Federal court concerning the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Alabama Workers’ Compensation Act.  This is the third speaking engagement for Jeffrey in the last six weeks.  He previously presented the Employment Law Update for CLE Alabama in late November and mid-December.

Alison H. Sausaman of our Jacksonville (FL) office prevailed on a motion for summary judgment in federal court on behalf of a national convenience store chain. The court agreed that rain on an asphalt parking lot was not a dangerous condition and granted final judgment in our client’s favor.
