Betsy Burgess Published in USLAW Magazine Spring Issue

USLAW NETWORK, Inc., published an article by Carr Allison attorney Elizabeth “Betsy” Burgess in its Spring 2020 issue. Burgess’s article “A Frightening Reality: Prevention, Preparation, and Defense of Active Shooter Lawsuits” examines current theories of liability, how lawsuits are being litigated and the measures business owners and employers can take to mitigate risk and defend litigation.

Burgess, a shareholder in the Tallahassee (FL) office, concentrates her practice on premises liability, employment liability, community/homeowner association disputes and transportation matters. Her diversified practice also includes the representation of clients in the areas of insurance defense, professional liability and retail and hospitality.
