Allison and Watson Successful after 3-day Trial

Carr Allison shareholders Russ Allison and Jordan Watson recently defended an insurance carrier sued for bad faith, breach of contract, misrepresentation and concealment. Prior to trial, Russ and Jordan filed and argued a Motion for Summary Judgment which the court granted in part, dismissing all claims but for the breach of contract cause of action. The case then proceeded to trial. During the third day of trial the plaintiff rested and Russ and Jordan moved for Judgment as a Matter of Law on behalf of the client. The court granted the motion in part, leaving only a portion of the damages initially claimed by the plaintiff. The case promptly settled thereafter.
