Oliver named Chair of USLAW Board of Directors

Thomas L. Oliver, II, a founding shareholder at Carr Allison, has been named Chair of the 2015-16 USLAW NETWORK Board of Directors. The announcement was made at the NETWORK’s annual membership meeting held in Boston. He succeeds C. Erik Gustafson from LeClairRyan in Virginia.

“I am so proud and very humbled to be at the helm of this prestigious national network,” said Oliver. “My predecessors, going back to my law partner Charles Carr who founded this great organization, have left me very large shoes to fill.  My goal, with membership support and participation, is to continue our unprecedented success by providing exemplary service that focuses on the diverse and myriad needs of our clients and showcases our unique geographic and cumulative legal expertise.”

Oliver served as vice chair for 2014-15 and has held several leadership roles within the NETWORK, including serving as chair of USLAW’s Transportation and Professional Liability committees.

Oliver, who practices in Carr Allison’s Birmingham, Ala., office, is a trial attorney specializing in complex matters involving transportation, employment and professional litigation.  He developed the firm’s “go team” and coordinates catastrophic accident investigations for various transportation clients.  He assists in the national coordinating counsel program for transportation claims for one of the nation’s largest insurers. Additionally, Mr. Oliver is designated as regional and statewide counsel for numerous companies and their insurers.
