Carr Allison lawyers Donald B. (Bo) Kirkpatrick and Bricker S. Daughtry will speak at the upcoming Alabama Workers’ Compensation Conference presented by M. Lee Smith Publishers in Birmingham, Alabama.  Mr. Kirkpatrick will review workers’ compensation cases from Alabama’s appellate courts, dealing with such issues as: whether a plaintiff was an employee or a subcontractor; recovery for the temporary aggravation of a pre-existing condition; and whether the evidence permitted recovery for an injury outside the compensation schedule.  Mr. Daughtry’s presentation will focus on the role of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration including the record keeping requirements and OSHA’s interplay with workers’ compensation claims.  Additional information regarding the conference can be found at http://www.mleesmith.com/al-workers-comp.
