Professional Profile

Angel A. Croes is a shareholder at Carr Allison and is located in the firm’s Birmingham (AL) office. Angel’s litigation practice focuses on the defense of local, regional and national manufacturers, distributors, retailers and restaurants in complex litigation, including class actions and products liability matters. She has successfully defended international and national manufacturers and distributors of a variety of products, including electronics, appliances and industrial equipment. She has also secured summary judgements and other pre-trial dismissals, as well as defense verdicts, in both jury and non-jury trials. She has represented her clients in an array of other matters within the retail and hospitality industry, including premises liability matters.

Angel is admitted to practice before all Alabama State Courts and the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama. A popular speaker on a variety of products liability defense matters, Angel gave a presentation at the Defense Research Institute’s (DRI) Product Liability Conference in 2020. After graduating from the Alabama School of Math and Science in Mobile (AL), Angel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and Spanish, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She then studied experimental psychology at the graduate level at the University of Alabama in Huntsville before earning her Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University (AL).

While attending Cumberland, Angel served as an associate editor for the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and was an executive member of Cumberland’s Trial Advocacy Board. She was selected by her professors to serve as a Judge Abraham Caruthers teaching fellow and was named to Who’s Who Among American Law Students. Angel was also selected to Cumberland’s National Negotiation Team where she competed and placed in the ABA regional Competition in Tallahassee (FL).

Angel is a distance runner and health enthusiast and is actively involved in the local running community. Fluent in Spanish, Angel and her husband enjoy international travel, spending time outdoors with their two miniature schnauzers and attending sporting events.
