Course Description: A workplace investigation can make or break an EPL claim-but only if it is conducted ethically and competently. Too often, investigations are outcome-driven, lack independence, or fail to follow basic ethical standards, leaving employers exposed to liability and adjusters struggling to defend claims. This program will teach you how to evaluate whether an insured’s investigation meets the ethical and legal standards necessary to support a defense, identify red flags that suggest an investigation was compromised, and ensure that any investigation you direct or oversee meets the highest professional standards. You will learn what makes an investigation credible, what mistakes undermine its value, and how to use investigation findings effectively in claims evaluation and defense.
