Wells Elected to Blackburn Institute Advisory Board

Carr Allison shareholder and retired Mobile County District Judge Judson W. Wells, Sr., has been elected to the prestigious Blackburn Institute Advisory Board, a division of Student Affairs at the University of Alabama. The Institute works to develop a network of student leaders, the Blackburn Fellows, who have a clear understanding of the challenges that face the State of Alabama. Members of the Advisory Board are elected to three year terms. During that time, they are called upon to be mentors to current members and past Fellows as well as attend Institute activities each year. Judge Wells accepted this position with great honor and is thrilled to be a part of this organization.

Judge Wells served as a Mobile County District Judge prior to his retirement from the bench. Since 2008 he has practiced law in Carr Allison’s Mobile office where he is a shareholder. A proud graduate of the University of Alabama, he has served his Alma Mater in numerous roles, most prominently as President of the 35,000 member National Alumni Association (2005-2006), President of the Law School Alumni Association (2000-2001) and currently as a Director of the UA Law School Foundation (2007-present).
