Professional Profile
Nicole Coutu serves as counsel in Carr Allison’s Jacksonville (FL) office. She is a member of the Florida Bar Association and focuses her practice on defending matters involving transportation, personal injury, retail and hospitality and products liability. Nicole previously worked on the plaintiff’s bar, giving her a valuable perspective when defending claims.
Nicole earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Central Florida and her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law. During law school, she served as president of the National Lawyers Guild, an organization dedicated to safeguarding and extending the rights of disadvantaged persons. She also chaired the Multicultural Committee of the Student Bar Association.
Nicole earned a certification in research and writing and served as lead research assistant and spot editor for the Public Interest Research Bureau, where she provided legal research and briefs for pro bono attorneys in Jacksonville (FL). She also received Book Awards in torts and lawyering process.
Outside of work Nicole enjoys spending time outdoors and going on adventures with her husband and their young son. She also enjoys reading, yoga and taking dance classes when she can.
