Professional Profile
Katie is a shareholder in the Gulfport (MS) office. She is admitted to practice in all Mississippi state and federal courts, along with the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Katie focuses her practice on defending matters involving general litigation, personal injury, complex litigation and professional liability.
Katie graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law. While in law school, Katie served as an associate articles’ editor for the Mississippi Law Journal and president of the Ole Miss Law Federalist Society. She was also involved in the Trial Advocacy Board, Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity, the Business Law Institute and the Steen Reynolds Trial Competition.
Katie has been involved in numerous organizations throughout her legal career. In addition to serving on the editorial board of the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association’s The Quarterly (2017–2021), she currently serves as secretary for the Russell-Blass-Walker Chapter of the American Inns of Court. Katie has also served as the south liaison for the Mississippi Women Lawyers Association and coastal district director for the Young Lawyers Division of the Mississippi Bar. She has also served on the board of directors for both, also including the Mississippi Bar’s Women in the Profession Committee. Katie has also been recognized by both Mid-South Super Lawyers® as a Rising Star and The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch®.
Katie is originally from Jackson (MS). In her free time, she enjoys gardening, shopping for local art and going to the beach.
