Professional Profile

Jenny Tyler Baker serves as counsel in Carr Allison’s Gulfport (MS) office. She is admitted to practice in Mississippi and the United States District Courts of Southern Mississippi. Jenny focuses her practice on defending the matters involving workers’ compensation, general litigation, premises liability and professional liability.

Jenny graduated cum laude from Mississippi State with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law.

Jenny is an active member of the Mississippi Bar Association. She has served both as president (2016-2017) and secretary (2014-2015) for the Young Lawyers Division. Jenny has also served as chair of the Health Law Section (2016-2017). Additionally, she has been involved on the Women in the Profession Committee for eight years, where she served as chair (2012-2013) and chair of the Evelyn Gandy Lecture Series (2017). Jenny is also a fellow of the American Bar Foundation.

Jenny has served as president for the Harrison County Bar Association (2008-2009) and the Harrison County Young Attorney Association (2006-2007). Additionally, she has served as chair for the 2021 Summer School for Lawyers Committee. Jenny currently serves as the president elect for the Mississippi Bar Association.

Over the years Jenny has served as a facilitator at the James O. Duke Law School Professionalism Program. She is also a member of the Mississippi Municipal Attorneys Association and served as fundraising chair for the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyer Project. Jenny was recognized by the Mississippi Business Journal as one of Mississippi’s Leading Lawyers (2014). She also received the Community Spirit Award from Mississippi College School of Law (2019).

A resident of Biloxi (MS), Jenny is an advocate for her community. She has served several positions for the Land Trust of the Mississippi Coastal Plain and is a life member of the Junior Auxiliary of the Biloxi-Ocean Springs. Jenny currently serves as the chair of Saints Shenanigans Sister Mary Jo Memorial 5k and fun run benefiting her children’s school, Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Elementary. Additionally, she serves on the Nativity School Advisory Board. In her free time, Jenny is an avid runner, completing the 2020 Houston Marathon. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Roy, and their children Grace, Charlotte and Bobby.
