E. Glenn Smith, Jr. is a shareholder in the firm’s Mobile (AL) office. Glenn’s practice concentrates on general litigation matters involving transportation litigation, workers’ compensation, construction, premises liability and personal injury defense. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University in Greenville (SC) where he was a four-year letterman in football. Glenn went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University (AL).
Glenn is licensed to practice in both Alabama and Florida. He is an AV Preeminent® rated attorney through Martindale-Hubbell® and has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America®. Glenn actively participates in the South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Program, helping provide legal aid to individuals who are not able to afford an attorney. He is involved in the Mobile Bar Association where he is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Section. Glenn previously served on the Mobile Bar Association Executive Committee and actively participated as a member of the Paul W. Brock Inns of Court. In addition, he is a member of the Baldwin County Bar Association.
Previously elected to the Board of Directors for the Mobile Bar Association, Glenn served as chair for the Mobile Bar Association Entertainment Committee and served on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. Glenn is currently serving as president of the Child Day Care Association of Mobile.
When he is away from the office, Glenn enjoys Alabama football games, golf and spending time with his wife and sons, Morris and Glenn Coker.
