Professional Profile

Seth R. Brooks is an associate in Carr Allison’s Dothan (AL) office. His practice focuses on the defense of personal injury, transportation, premises liability, products liability and professional liability.

Prior to joining Carr Allison, Seth spent more than 10 years as a state prosecutor where he handled a wide range of criminal cases. During that time, he conducted more than 90 jury trials and hundreds of bench trials, regularly appearing in court and managing post-conviction and capital matters.

Seth earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science from Auburn University (AL) and his Juris Doctor from the Jones School of Law at Faulkner University (AL). While in law school, he served as editor of the Faulkner Law Review, president of the Association of Future Prosecutors and justice of the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity. He also competed nationally as a two-time mock trial champion and regional mediation finalist.

Seth is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the Alabama Bar Association and the Houston County Bar Association, where he has served on the Philanthropy Committee. He is also the vice president of the Wiregrass Angel House Junior Board, member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Dothan and Taylor Masonic Lodges, Krewe of Kolosse Mardi Gras Society and associate member of the Mystics du Mayhem Mardi Gras Society.

Outside of his legal practice, Seth enjoys snow skiing, grilling, fishing, Auburn football, live music, staying active and spending time with his three children.
