Chancey Miller is a shareholder at Carr Allison in the Chattanooga (TN) office. He defends individuals and businesses in all kinds of civil litigation throughout Tennessee. Chancey’s practice primarily includes defense of commercial and construction disputes, personal injury lawsuits and workers’ compensation claims.

Chancey is a proven litigator with a long track record of success in the courtroom. On behalf of his clients, Chancey has achieved good results with dispositive motions, at jury and bench trials and on appeal. He has obtained numerous dismissals in lawsuits involving significant damages through summary judgment. Chancey’s mindset is to never be outworked defending a client facing a lawsuit.

In 2022, Chancey received the Rising Star Award from the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association. He is regularly selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America® for commercial litigation, personal injury litigation – defendants and workers’ compensation law – employers. Chancey has also been recognized as a Mid-South Super Lawyers Rising Star® for civil litigation defense.

Chancey graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in business analytics and marketing. He earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law with a concentration in advocacy and dispute resolution.

Outside his practice, Chancey enjoys spending time with his wife, Shayla, and their daughters. He is also a proud fan of the Tennessee Volunteers. Go Vols!
