Professional Profile

Kenyatta Thorpe is an associate in Carr Allison’s Dothan (AL) office. Her practice focuses on the defense of premises liability and insurance coverage matters.

Prior to joining Carr Allison, Kenyatta practiced at a regional law firm, where she litigated premises liability and personal injury cases. She also served as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Juvenile Division of the Dougherty County District Attorney’s Office. In that role, she managed the juvenile court docket for the circuit and prosecuted juveniles charged as adults under Senate Bill 440.

Kenyatta earned her Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in exercise science from Georgia State University. She then earned both her Juris Master, cum laude, and Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Appalachian School of Law (VA).

Outside of work, Kenyatta enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. She also enjoys baking and decorating
specialty cakes.
