Professional Profile

Katy Melchiorre serves as counsel in Carr Allison’s Orlando (FL) office. Her practice focuses on defending matters involving retail and hospitality and premises liability.

Katy graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a Bachelor of Science in telecommunication. While earning her undergraduate degree, Katy became proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and volunteered in an elementary school for deaf children.  She then earned her Juris Doctor, also cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. During law school, she was Executive Articles Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy and received the Book Award for earning the highest grade in her legal research class. She served as a Teaching Assistant for Legal Writing, Appellate Advocacy and Trial Practice.

Outside of her legal practice, Katy enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, running, and cheering for the Florida Gators and Philadelphia sports teams.
