Betty Akopyan is an associate in Carr Allison’s Jacksonville (FL) office. Betty is admitted to practice in Florida and focuses her practice on defending matters involving transportation, premises liability, personal injury and general litigation.
Betty graduated cum laude from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts in middle eastern studies and a minor in communications. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from University of Florida Levin School of Law. While there, Betty served as editor-in-chief of the Florida Journal of International Law and president/founder of the Middle Eastern Law Students Association. Prior to joining Carr Allison, Betty served as a legal extern at the Florida Supreme Court and an attorney at the Public Defender’s Office, 4th Judicial Circuit.
Born and raised in Jacksonville (FL), Betty balances her busy legal career with a full family life. When she’s not advocating for clients, she enjoys time with her husband, two young children and golden doodle. She also loves hosting friends and family, cooking, exploring new restaurants and traveling whenever she can.
