Professional Profile

Heather M. Frederick serves as counsel in Carr Allison’s Jacksonville (FL) office.  Her practice focuses on defending matters of transportation and personal injury, construction, premises liability, as well as bad-faith, extra-contractual liability and coverage disputes.  Previously a member of the plaintiffs’ bar, Heather has a unique perspective in civil defense matters.

After earning a political science degree at Christopher Newport University (VA), Heather went on to earn her law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law.  During law school, Heather was on FCSL’s number one nationally ranked Moot Court Honor Board.  While on the Honor Board, she competed in numerous national competitions earning two Semi-Finalist awards as well as a Quarter-Finalist award. Heather was a teaching assistant for torts as well as legal writing, and she also earned the Book Award in Interviewing and Counseling.

Born in Hawaii, Heather has lived all over the United States as a Navy brat.  However, she claims Virginia as her true home.  She currently lives in Florida with her husband, Robert, and their young son. In her free time Heather enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and cooking.
