Richard Whitaker is an associate in Carr Allison’s Birmingham (AL) office. Richard is admitted to practice in the state of Alabama, all districts of Alabama of the United States District Courts and the eleventh circuit of the United Stated Court of Appeals. He focuses his practice on defending the matters involving transportation, medical/medical devices, general litigation and complex litigation.
Richard graduated from Hampden-Sydney College (VA) with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, Richard was awarded the American College of Trial Lawyers Award, George Peach Taylor Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers.
A Birmingham Native, Richard spends his free time outdoors, hunting and coaching his kids in softball and basketball.
