Professional Profile

Raiza Leal serves as an associate in Carr Allison’s Orlando (FL) office. Her practice focuses on defending matters of retail and hospitality, premises liability, insurance and transportation.

Most recently, Raiza has practiced medical and insurance litigation and has experience handling cases through final disposition. She concentrated on first party litigation where she represented medical providers and policyholders to recover unpaid and underpaid benefits.

After earning a degree in psychology and legal studies at the University of Central Florida where she earned the rank as class valedictorian, Raiza went on to earn her law degree from Florida State University College of Law, with honors. While in law school, she was the president of the Lawtinos, an article and notes editor for the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy and a teaching assistant for legal research and writing.

Born in Puerto Rico, Raiza moved to Florida at the age of six where she still resides. She is fluent in both Spanish and English and in her free time she enjoys scuba diving, especially drift and night diving.
