Nikki Huffman serves as Counsel in Carr Allison’s Gulfport, MS office. She came to the firm after serving as Vice President of Litigation for one of the nation’s largest provider of skilled nursing services, headquartered in Florida. An AV-rated attorney through Martindale-Hubbell, her career has focused heavily on defending skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, physicians, nurses, CNAs and a variety of other healthcare providers. In addition to a healthcare and medical liability practice, Nikki is experienced in a wide array of other legal matters including lease and contract interpretation and litigation, premises liability, products liability and drafting and enforcement of arbitration agreements, to name a few.
In addition to a deep understanding of liability defense, Nikki had also counseled clients on risk management and compliance issues. Having made the transition from local counsel to in-house counsel and back again, Nikki has a deep understanding of the importance of cost-conscious litigation strategies, thorough and timely reporting, and effective communication that keeps the client informed at all stages of the litigation process.
Nikki obtained her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from the University of West Florida and her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law, where she attended on a full academic scholarship.
Always up for a challenge, Nikki is licensed to practice law in five states including Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky and Michigan.
Nikki is involved in the community as a member of the Biloxi-Ocean Springs Junior Auxiliary and Habitat for Humanity. Outside of work, Nikki can be found spending time on the tennis courts or coaching one of her sons’ teams.
