After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri in history, Matthew went on to graduate from Florida State University College of Law. While in law school, he was involved in the Student Bar Association and the Association for Criminal Justice.

Outside of the office, Matthew enjoys being physically active by playing golf and working out. He also enjoys playing chess, going to the beach and attending hockey and football games.
