Professional Profile

Kathryn O. Perera is an associate in the Mobile, Alabama office where she defends companies and individuals in construction, personal injury, premises liability, and retail and hospitality liability matters.  She is admitted to practice in all state courts in Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

Katie graduated magna cum laude from Auburn University (AL) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.  She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate degree, graduating cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law where she was an Articles and Notes Editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property.

Katie returned to her hometown of Mobile after law school.  Prior to joining Carr Allison, she clerked for three judges of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit of Mobile County: the Honorable Sarah H. Stewart, the Honorable Michael D. Sherman and the Honorable Brandy B. Hambright.

Katie and her husband Trent live in Mobile with their yellow lab Dixie.  Katie and Trent are avid college football fans and travel to Athens, Georgia to “call the Dawgs” at least once every fall.  In her free time, Katie enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes.
